Yep, time for my single annual journal entry!

I graduated university with a BA in English in May, and you know what that means - singalong time!

What do you do with a B.A. in English,
What is my life going to be?

That said, I have a useful minor in Professional Writing/Editing, so I'm not entirely stuck! I've been taking the year off and recently returned from a five-month stay in Israel, where I interned for a series of leading youth magazines, took Hebrew lessons, attended lectures, and went on wonderful trips to different parts of the country. It was a really terrific experience - maybe I should post some photos eventually...

So now I'm back in Canada and looking for work in my field! Whoo! In the meantime, I'm back to making fun desserts for friends, and drawing Pokemon here and there. I'll try to not be lazy and keep posting things.

In other news, a "new" Pokemon related to Mewtwo has been announced - because heaven forbid an old Pokemon feature in a new movie without some kind of gimmick - and I'm not in love. Mewtwo's pretty much my favourite Pokemon (battling Mew for the position, incidentally) so I'm really hoping they do him justice. I don't like the idea of giving him a new form, and I really hope it doesn't turn out that "oh btw he's been able to change form for 15 years but he just never bothered lol" or something like that. We'll see.

Otherwise, I'm looking forward to Pokemon X and Y. The 3D graphics are more than welcome (much as I'll miss sprites and spriting) and so far the new Pokemon designs are interesting, for the most part. Again, we'll see.
